In Loving Memory of Bro. Joe Walker
Born Nov. 1956 to the loving parents of Norman and Mae Walker, Joe and his twin sister Judy were inseparable. All throughout their childhood they’d work hard and play harder. At age 16 with his hopes and dreams ahead of him Joe left Cecil, Ga. on a truck with his big brother James Sr.. It was at this age that Joe quickly recognized his talent for the highway and his undying love for the open road.
After some time had passed Joe returned home to Cecil, Ga. where he met and wed his wife Eleanor of Hahira Ga. They both were members of the West Park Church of Christ later to become the Newsome St. Church of Christ.
Joe was a diligent and hard worker both within the kingdom and without.
He labored as a truck driver from 1972-2017.
His health began to fail him due to injuries he sustained in an early 90’s trucking accident.
Joe leaves to cherish his memory 10 living Siblings (Helen, Evelyn, Nelda, Benjamin, Clarence, Harold, Judy, Lawrence, Lowery, and Linda-Gail), a host of Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.
